Philosophy
In our vineyards we apply sustainable practices as a rigorous production philosophy, in the full respect of Mother Nature, applying an integrated viticulture approach, recognized with SQNPI certification (Sistema di Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata), to produce high quality wines respectful of the environment.
We avoid the use of chemical products in the fertilization of our soils, in the vineyards and canopy management and in the defense of the plants against diseases.
Therefore, we apply different practices which allow us, for example, to naturally enrich the soil with mineral elements, such as nitrogen and potassium through the green manure technique, we realize mechanical weeding to control the grass growth and we promote integrated pest management to stimulate the plants’ natural defense.
To reduce climate change’s effects and produce healthy and high-quality grapes, we ensure low yields by respecting the natural physiology of each vine through severe green harvest and rigorous canopy management.
Our environment is rich in biodiversity, thanks to the variety of plants and flowers grown between the rows to nourish the soil and attract bees, essential insects and key indicators of a healthy ecosystem.
To realize our “green” activities we have installed weather stations which allows us to constantly monitor the climate of our vineyards’ ecosystems, in particular temperatures, rainfalls, humidity, wind and water reserves in the soils.
We work with the same dedicated Team of people throughout the entire vegetative cycle — from pruning to harvest — because they deeply understand the needs and characteristics of each vine in the constant pursuit of excellence without compromises.
